Textbooks, Recreational Novels, and FB/Text Messages
To begin, reading a school textbook requires a lot more in depth thought processing and retention than apposed to a novel you might read for recreation, as the school textbook has information in it that you are required to remember as much of it as possible for your classes homework or exams. With a recreational novel, there isn't as much "on the line" as with a textbook, as if you forget a few small details you wont be asked to recall them again for application- in most cases. A School textbook's readings also differ from a text message or Facebook post in that it's a lot more formal and structured. For example, a Facebook post or text message might not even be in a complete sentence, while a textbook will always be in complete sentences, and complete ideas. It's all differences in formality, and the reader will adapt to these changes before they read so that understanding of the concepts are clear(er).
